Clinic and Pharmacy Provide Easy Healthcare Access

Anderson County residents have been enjoying a unique healthcare combination providing both treatments and medications in one building.

The Ready Care Clinic and Anderson Apothecary have been operating just off of US127 near the Best Western Hotel together in the same building for a number of months.  Together, they have been able to provide a wide coverage of healthcare without needing to travel from doctor’s office to pharmacy.

The clinic, operated by nurse practitioner, Jessica Shewmaker, reopened its doors in February when she purchased it from the previous owner.  She has been providing acute care options for residents as well as physicals and small procedures.  She can also fill in when patients can’t quickly get to their primary care doctors as no appointments are needed.

John Serafini, pharmacist and owner of Anderson Apothecary, has been providing compassionate service at the apothecary for a number of years.  Together, both John and Jessica can help patients heal as fast as possible. “It’s a convenience for the community especially in a crunch for urgent treatment,” John said.
