Anderson County Schools and the Anderson County Education Association have partnered to lend a hand to the many schools that have been impacted by the destructive hurricanes, Harvey and Irma.

According to ACEA president, Dr Anissa Penn Davis, the schools will be collecting donations for school supplies and general office supplies at every school location and the central office until the Friday before Fall break, October 6th.  Acceptable donations include paper, pens, staplers, crayons, and all various school supplies.

Arrangements have been made for the donated items to be shipped to distribution centers in the affected areas to get them to where it is needed. “We believe helping those in need during difficult times is important and we want to help,” Superintendent Sheila Mitchell said.
