First Mayfest Carnival Promises Fun for Children of All Ages

There’s lots of fun and rides planned this Saturday for children of all ages at the Christian Academy of Lawrenceburg.

According to CAL principal, Sandra Bowman, the school will be hosting its first Mayfest Carnival on Saturday.  Developed by the Partners in Kingdom Education which is a group of parents and teachers at the school, the carnival will feature lots of carnival rides by Bluegrass Amusement Park Rides as well as many different games and concessions, some of which have been donated by the community.

Sandra explained that entry to the carnival will be free but ride tickets are low cost at only $15 for unlimited rides.  There will also be face paintings, arcade style games, and activities for young children.

All proceeds of the carnival will go to help the school purchase more hands on science equipment as well as provide tuition assistance.  “We’ve been really blessed and continue to work on math and science,” Sandra said.

The carnival will be hosted at the Christian Academy of Lawrenceburg on North Main Street from 11am to 6pm on May 20th. For more information about the Mayfest Carnival or the Christian Academy, check out their Facebook page.
