New Restaurant to Feature Bearcat Theme

A brand new restaurant will soon be opening at the old Anthony’s on Broadway and will be themed on Bearcat pride.

Called Bearcat Barbecue, owner and soon to be operator, David Richmond, bought the old restaurant on Broadway to make it into a great new place, decked out in vintage Anderson County High School Bearcat memorabilia.  He said that many residents in the community are dropping off various Bearcat items like jackets, trophies, and posters to be displayed at the restaurant.

In addition to a great theme, he is also planning a great menu.  With an outdoor smoker, he will be offering traditional barbecue items like pulled pork, smoked chicken, ribs, and brisket.  He is also planning to have a breakfast buffet from Monday to Saturday.

David and his family, including his son and daughter, Sierra and Jacob, will be working together at the family run business.  They also want to help the community as much as possible and are planning to do fundraiser nights every Thursday for various community groups.

Bearcat Barbecue is slated to open at the beginning of May.  David explained that they are finishing up the inside and will be repainting the exterior soon.
