Anderson County High School art students will be having a chance to show off their art in a professional setting as well as have a chance to have their work judged in a contest.

According to ACHS visual arts teacher, Jenny Kittinger, AP art students at the high school will be displaying their work at the Frame Clinic & Art Alley on West Court Street these next few days with a reception and judging on Saturday.  The artwork will include drawings, paintings, mixed media, and ceramics.

The show will not only allow some items to be sold but also serve as a way to get feedback from masters of fine arts.  The Pierian Women’s Club is sponsoring judging of the art work by fine arts professionals, with top pieces receiving cash awards.

Viewing of the student art work starts today from until 6pm, and continues on Friday from 10am to 7pm and Saturday from 10am to 2pm.  The reception of the artists will be held from 11am to 2pm on Saturday.  For more information about Frame Clinic and Art Alley, check out their Facebook page.
