Playing to Help the Anderson Humane Society

What a fun, prosperous evening it was! Who doesn’t enjoy a rousing game of Bunco with new and present friends.

The Christian Workers’ Circle from First Christian Church initiate a service project each month for the community. In January, sweatpants, hats, and gloves were donated to the elementary Family Resource Centers; in February, a Bow Wow Bunco night provided donations for the Anderson Humane Society spay/neuter and sponsorship programs. For March, the group will provide a luncheon for the Anderson County Senior Citizens Center.

February’s project was Bow Wow Bunco. It was a truly fun, feel-good event. A snack supper was served, bunco and door prizes awarded, and a silent auction was held with the Anderson Humane Society reaping the rewards.  Besides the group supporting needs of the community, the Lawrenceburg businesses and various persons were always so generous, too.  A special thank you goes to Tastefully Kentucky, Wal-Mart, Keeneland, Expressions Hair Salon, Cecil Yates, and others for their contributions.

The Christian Workers’ Circle thanks everyone involved and enjoys providing each community service project throughout the year.
