The Anderson Apothecary continues to grow as another long time independent pharmacist joins owner/pharmacist John Serafini  to give Anderson County residents the best possible care.  Pharmacist Allen Carr, the original owner of the Med Stop on Broadway, is the newest addition to the team which also includes pharmacist Keith Klink.

Allen Carr originally started the Med Stop back in 1976 as Tops Drugs.  Through the years it changed names to the Medicine Shop and finally to the Med Stop before Allen decided to work at Rite Aid.

All three pharmacists represent a long lineage of independent pharmacy experience.  Owner/pharmacist John worked at his grandfather’s pharmacy as a teenager and Keith’s father Charlie owned and operated Klinks Drugs on Main Street.  Together, all three have around 90 years of pharmacy experience.

Allen explained that independent pharmacies like the Anderson Apothecary give personal one-on-one care that no corporate pharmacy can do.  They also don’t skimp on technology.  “We offer the cutting edge of technology in the independent setting,” he said.
