The Christian Academy of Lawrenceburg just recently won two complete preschool classroom makeovers totaling around $50,000 worth of materials as part of their continuing educational excellence.

The academy originally won a single classroom makeover this summer during the Kids Ready Now Conference in Louisville as part of the new KY ALL-STARS program which is replacing the original STARS for KIDS NOW program.  However, before Fall break, they received notification that they in fact won two classroom makeovers.

The makeovers project, which is funded by the Race to the Top Early Learning Grant through KY ALL-STARS, is allowing the school to purchase $25,000 worth of furniture, shelving, rugs, tables, curriculum, and other learning materials for each of the two classrooms through the Lakeshore Company.  Preschool director, Michelle Robinson, said that this is a definite blessing for the school.

All installation of the new items will happen on November 8th when a crew from the Lakeshore Company arrives at the school to unbox and install all the new items.  According to Michelle, many of the original items found in the two classrooms will be reused in the other preschool classrooms, which help with the ever growing preschool facility at CAL.
