The Anderson Public Library is home to more than just books and educational services.  A few months ago, a new knitting group started at the library to not only bring those interested in knitting together but also to see what others are creating around town.

Laurel Sisler, the adult services librarian, said that she received a number of requests to put together a knitting group at the library.  Putting it together, the group started small with only six members the first time they met, but word got out and more are attending every month.

Although right now the group usually meets on the second Saturday of every month for around two hours, Laurel explained that may change as the group is so new.  But they’d like to invite more people for their next meeting so everyone can share their creations and creative ability.
