Great Performances at Native Dawn Despite Heat

Although it was stifling hot this past weekend, the Native Dawn Flute Gathering still had an amazing collection of performances featuring all different types of cultural music and dances.  Created by Fred Keams, the Native Dawn has become a tradition on the Lawrenceburg Green, attracting many Native American performers and vendors selling hand crafted flutes and other items.  This year, the event included a number of other cultures, including a Japanese Tiako Drum Group and performers from the Lexington Chinese American Association.  The gathering also included the well liked Aztec Dancers.  Be sure to check out the highlights of the event in the video above.
