Lighting Up the Sky to Help the Humane Society

Jared and Abigail Davenport, Cameron Dean

The Fourth of July will be bright for both residents of the county and pets at the Anderson Humane Society.  The Southern Boom Fireworks tent in front of Ace Hardware has been donating large portions of their sales to different charitable organizations for four years.

Last year, they donated a considerable amount to the humane society’s spay and neuter program and decided to donate to them again this year.  They have a goal to donate $1000.

The humane society is also bringing awareness of safety of fireworks and pets.  They are distributing flyers at the tent showing what pet owners need to do to keep their pets safe during this Fourth of July.  For more information about the Anderson Humane Society, check out their Facebook page.
