Members of the Anderson County American Legion Auxiliary Unit 34 were at the 98th annual convention for the American Legion Department of Kentucky.  The women of Anderson County were honored with a number of awards for all their amazing work that they have done through the year to help the community, veterans, and their families.

They received best overall in the state for Americanism, Leadership, Children and Youth Programs, Community Service, National Security, Best Pressbook, and Veterans Affairs and Rehabilitation.  They were also recognized with certificates for the Girls State program, Education, and Cavalcade of memories.

Pam Brough, president of the unit, was incredibly thankful to see the unit receive so many awards. “This Unit never does anything just to get acknowledgement but it really makes us feel great when our peers within the state of Kentucky award our Unit with over half of the trophies given out at convention,” Pam said.
