With summer here, parents across the county will be needing to get their children ready for the upcoming school year.  According to pediatrician, Jaime Cooper, from Capital Medical Group, all incoming Kindergartners and sixth graders will need a physical exam before they can start school in August.  All students wanting to play sports will also need an exam.

Dr Jaime, who has been practicing pediatrics here in Lawrenceburg for ten years, said that the summer months are the busiest time for wellness checks for kids, including physical exams, immunizations, etc.  To make it easier for parents, Capital Medical Group will be offering extended hours through the summer to help working parents.  They will be open on Mondays and Thursdays to 5:30pm and Tuesdays and Wednesdays to 8pm.

Exams during the extended hours will be for children four years old and up and will have a thorough head to toe physical, update all immunizations, and discuss about health and safety topics.  These exams will be covered 100% by insurance (most insurances accepted) if they are scheduled as a wellness exam.
