The Bearcat Pride Foundation is making great progress with their first major project.  The foundation’s main goal is to recreate the current Anderson County High School football field with a brand new synthetic turf field to allow multiple sports to play on the same field.  In part of their fundraising for the turf replacement project, they have been selling engraved bricks to be laid in the area around the main entrance to the field by the bleachers and concession area.

According to the foundation president, Jenny Kays, they have just recently started work on the first phase of the brick project.  Board member Joe Smith and Charlie Casciola have been working hard to remove the pavement to accept the first area of bricks.  They’re hoping to have the area completed this summer before the start of the next school year.

The foundation is still accepting donations for engraved bricks.  You can order a brick and find more information about the project at their website.  (Photos provided)
