Cappuccinos, Coffee, and Pastries Coming to Lawrenceburg

Enjoying a hand brewed coffee with a home made pastry in a cozy, quaint coffee shop will soon be the experience for many here in Lawrenceburg as a new coffee shop prepares to open on Main Street.  Lora Harrison and Kim Knight are planning to open their new shop sometime this summer in the same building as the Mix next to the new parking lot.

Kim, who originally ran the Best Friends Coffee Shop at the same location as Sweet Mash back a number of years ago, is hoping to bring that old, cozy coffee shop feel to Lawrenceburg with their new shop called Off The Ground.  Kim and Lora are looking to offer a variety of coffees, teas, cappuccinos, lattes, and more including homemade pastries like pies, cupcakes, muffins and possibly even gelatos.

Looking to open by August, maybe sooner if the renovations run ahead of schedule, they are looking to feature exposed brick and even possibly convert the exterior window to allow ordering from outside.  “Everyone we speak to is really excited about a coffee shop coming,” Lora said.
