Although it was cold, windy, and a tad rainy, many ladies from Lawrenceburg and beyond enjoyed the Third Annual Ladies Day.  Started by Marlene Yung from the Lawrenceburg Bed and Breakfast, Ladies Day has become a great way for tourists and residents alike to enjoy all of Lawrenceburg’s great local shops and restaurants in a leisurely yet fun atmosphere.

A number of participants were new this year, including Beth English, Judy Price, and Laura Hanks.  Laura, who was planning to visit all of the stores, said, “I think it’s going to be a fun day.”

Local residents, Patricia and Margaret Rankin, really enjoy the annual Ladies Day.  “We just love it,” Margaret said.  “We get to visit new places.”

Starting from the Anderson County Senior Center where the ladies picked up their shopping passports and enjoyed the vendors there, they then went around to all the participating shops and restaurants to get their passports stamped for chances to win prizes.  They then got to enjoy entertainment and great wine at the Rising Sons Winery to finish up the day.
