Next on the recognition list were the winners from the HOSA State Leadership Conference.  HOSA, which is an organization that promotes leadership in the health professions, created a competition for high school students to further their goals.  Students in these programs take classes in many areas such as technology, mechanics, health, nursing, volunteering, technology with community service emphasis at the Area Technical Center. They take classes during the school year and determine if they want to prepare for competitions and then compete.  The students will be going to the International Leadership Conference this summer in Nashville, TN.
