Finding Familiar Roads at Anderson County Tire

Jeremy Hawkins and Steve Corn

Growing up in Lawrenceburg is something special to many, and having to work outside of the community in other states can be tough.  Steve Corn, the owner of Anderson County Tire, grew up here and graduated from Anderson County High School in 1994.  Getting into the tire and roadside service business after high school, Steve found himself in surrounding states and communities for his job, working for different tire companies.

But, he missed our great community.  After working so long in the tire industry and wanting to bring his service back to Lawrenceburg, he jumped in, creating Anderson County Tire. “I always wanted to [open my own business],” Steve said. “I was scared to death, but I did it.”

With his new business on Industrial Road, Steve and his crew of seven employees can work on anything related to tires, with no tire too small or large, including car, semi truck, agriculture, and off road tires. “We can handle anything from a wheelbarrow to an earth mover tire,” Steve said.  They also can retread and offer 24 hour road service to replace blown tires.

Steve also gives back to the community.  He sponsors the Alton Ruritan Club, the Anderson County Little League.  He is also now working with the high school’s FFA program as a corporate sponsor.
