Last night, Boy Scout Troop 37 held their first of four pizza nights at the St Lawrence Catholic Church.  The pizza night is a new fundraising event for the scouts, where they hand prepared pizzas, including the crusts, and garlic knots using the finest ingredients they could find and serve them to attendees while also providing fun entertainment.

Assistant Scout Master, Chris Cirillo, said the event is raising funds so the troop can go to Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimarron, New Mexico.  The ranch, which is one of the largest youth camps in the world in land area, is a scout haven that so few ever get a chance to experience because of the cost of the trip.  “It is a scouters’ paradise,” Chris said.

The scouts will be holding three more pizza nights on the upcoming Fridays, with each night featuring a different theme of entertainment.  They will all have great music, live skits, prizes, and more.  And, of course, they will include freshly made pizza and garlic knots ready satisfy any hunger crave.
