Railroad Crossing Issue Creates Major Traffic Problem on Main St

Earlier today, there were reports of major traffic issues surrounding the train crossing at North Main Street.  Erik Alexander reported a train had gone past the Main Street crossing but didn’t go far enough to keep the crossing signals and guards from continually being activated.  During this time, residents tried to go through the crossing, creating a number of near accidents.  Erik subsequently called the Lawrenceburg Police to direct traffic.  They quickly arrived and were able to safely get traffic moving again.  However, traffic on both sides of the crossing was backed up for considerable length before the crossing signals stopped.  Photos provided by Erik.
