Exciting Changes Planned for AC Little League

The Anderson County Little League will be adding a new change for this season.  According to the league president, Gabe Uebel, the league will be using a pitching machine for their 5-6 and 7-8 divisions.  They will also be hosting the 10-12 year old districts for Little League International, which are the qualifier rounds for Williamsport.  “It’s going to be an exciting time to be a part of our league,” Gabe said.

The little league’s registration is currently open at their website until March 8th, with mandatory evaluations being hosted at the Anderson County Middle School on March 13th from 1-4pm.  They are also having on site registrations at both Emma B Ward Elementary from 11am-3pm and Saffell Street Elementary from 9am-5pm this coming Saturday.

Brandon Carney, assistant coach and PR officer for the league, said at last week’s on site registration that they’ve had really good leagues in the past two years with great coaches and supporters.  He is looking to expand the league further this year and provide a great experience for the players.
