Lawrenceburg to “See Red” in Support of District Tournament

Towards the end of February, something special is coming to Lawrenceburg.  The Anderson County High School will be hosting the district basketball tournaments for the Bearcats and Lady Bearcats starting on February 23rd.  In celebration of this event, the parents of the basketball team members are organizing a meet and greet with the teams and coaches on February 22 at 5:30pm on the Anderson County Court House lawn after being escorted there by local police.  Along with the teams, there will be a pep rally, autograph signing, selling of special t-shirts and buttons, and more.  There will also be a spirit poster contest for all Anderson County students with the winners announced during half time of the girls first game.

Since the pep rally will be held downtown, the parents are also reaching out to businesses around Main Street and beyond to “See Red.”  Going with the motto, “See Red – Our Town Your Team,” they would like to invite local businesses to decorate their store fronts with team photos and the spirit posters.  Jennifer Sea Drury, wife of the Bearcats coach, Glen Drury, said, “We would like to see the businesses decorate their buildings and offices and support district tournament week.”  Jennifer, along with the parents, want to show visitors from Shelby and Spencer Counties just how great Lawrenceburg and Anderson County really is.  For more information, you can contact Jennifer at
