Monthly Message from Anderson County Senior Center: February 2016

Senior CenterWe hope that you weathered the recent storm in great shape despite being confined to your homes over several days as we welcomed winter into friendly, growing, Lawrenceburg, Kentukcy.  While the snow is beautiful to watch, after a couple of days, it’s nice to see the tops of the grass in your yard, something besides snow plows passing outside your windows, and anything but TV weather folks every ten minutes telling us how much snow is accumulating on the roadways.  All that said, it’s good to remember a few thinks on the coldest, snowiest, somewhat depressing days of winter.

Your senior center is here to serve you when you have needs, whether those needs are for health and wellness, transportation, meals, or simply assistance with services outside this building.  The staff here will make the effort necessary to address every phone call and each inquiry that comes from a visit to the center or from a family member.

When the inclement weather hits our area, we will be available to help you cope with the changes it brings into your life.  We will check on you, either in person or over the phones, and available to return messages that you leave on the answering machine.  Weather will never be a determining factor in whether we can provide assistance to you.

You will always be our number one priority and addressing your needs quickly and efficiently will be our constant goal.  Keeping these priorities in order will be important to each of us as we seek to serve you.

About priorities…

“Most of us spend too much time on what is urgent and not enough time on what is important.”  Stephen Covey

“action expresses priorities>:  Mahatma Gandhi

You need to make time for your family no matter what happens in our life.”  Matthew Quick

CarmichaelSmile… what do prisoners us to call each other?  Cell Phones.
