National DJ Day Gives Honor to Local DJ

A new business opened this past summer here in town bringing music to all different kinds of events.  Local resident, Chris Ware started his DJ service, DJ Hooty Hoo, back in June while working at Kroger. Chris said that he grew up around all kinds of music and has been friends for over 30 years with Anthony Beckley of Shelbyville who is also a DJ.  He said that Anthony helped him learn the art and passion of being a DJ and owes him many thanks as he starts his new business.

Chris covers a wide variety of events at low cost, including weddings, parties, reunions, etc, and has been at the Burgoo Festival as well as a few of the Anderson Humane Society events.  He also offers a large music library and is hoping to maybe one day open a night club for the local teenagers.

For more information about DJ Hooty Hoo, check out his Facebook page.  He will also be at the Sweetheart’s Happy Valentines Day Dance being held on February 12th at Hilltop.
