New Store to Open on Main Street

Peggy and Greg Gibson

As Main Street filled up with new stores and restaurants last year, only a few vacant locations remained through these last few months.  But, this week, another vacant store front will vanish as a new store opens its doors.  Peggy and Greg Gibson will be opening their store, Magnolia House Consignments, this week on Wednesday, January 20th.  Peggy, who owned a consignment store in the past, decided to open the new store at the old Heavens to Betsy location at 124 South Main Street.  They will be focusing on selling different housewares, furniture, and clothing.  “I just want to help downtown grow. And provide an option for people who can’t afford to go to furniture stores,” Peggy said.  They also will be giving a higher percentage to their consignors compared to most consignment stores.

Magnolia House Consignments will be open Wednesday through Saturday from 10am to 6pm.  We wish the new owners and store much luck.
