Instead of watching Saturday morning TV, a group of young men from the Anderson County Cub Scout Pack 38 is helping to give back to the community by running a winter supply drive at the First Christian Church Gymnasium at 300 South Main Street from 8 am to 5 pm today.  The scouts will be collecting winter coats, gloves and other cold weather accessories and garments to be given to Fred Keams of the Native Dawn Flute Gathering.  Fred will then send the donations to a Native American reservation out in his home state of Arizona.  The scouts are also collecting pet food, supplies and treats that will be given to our local Anderson Humane Society.  We had a chance to meet with the first of many scouts who will be volunteering all day.  Jacob Wallace and Tristan Huber took the first shift this morning and when asked what type of work they would be doing, they told us that they will be helping to bring in the donations, opening the doors and folding the clothing.
