Tipton Discusses Upcoming Issues for State Government

On Monday morning, James Tipton, our state representative, stopped by at the Anderson Senior Center to talk about the upcoming issues facing the state government in the new year.  One of the first issues brought up was about the problems with funding state retirement programs, including teacher’s retirement, and how the state may move to fix the problem.  Discussions and questions then went to other funding issues for the state and tax reform before moving to questions about charter schools and the expanded Medicaid program.  The video above is a clip highlighting the important topics discussed.
