Distinguished Young Woman of Anderson County Prepares for State Competition

Brooklyn Carpenter, a senior at the Christian Academy of Lawrenceburg, is preparing for her next time on stage in Lexington.  Brooklyn, who won the 2016 Distinguished Young Woman of Anderson County competition back in August, will be competing in the state competition at the Singletary Center for the Arts in Lexington in a little over a week from now.  The Distinguished Young Woman competition is a national program to help high school girls to develop their full potential and to provide a scholarship opportunity.

Brooklyn is proud to represent Anderson County and is hopeful to win the state competition.  We wish her much luck and hope to see her in the national competition.  For more information about the Kentucky competition and to purchase tickets, check out their Facebook page.
