Plaque and Award Presented Today at Police Department

Today was a special day at the Lawrenceburg Police Department.  Roxann King presented a specially made plaque in honor of fallen Lawrenceburg Police Officer Kenny Goodlett who passed away earlier this year.  She presented it to his wife, Debbie Goodlett, and the department.  A number of moving words were spoken about Kenny as well.  There will also be a mural painted in honor of Kenny at the police department.

After the plaque was presented, Mayor Goodlett presented Officer Bryan Brashears with the Governor’s Award for outstanding achievement in the apprehension of impaired drivers.  The award is normally presented at a banquet dedicated for the event for officers across the state; however, the Lawrenceburg department was not notified of the award.  Police Chief Atkins and Mayor Goodlett decided to present him with the award today.
