Although yesterday was highlighted by the great Christmas Classics parade sponsored by the City of Lawrenceburg, there were a number of other fun events up and down Main Street.  Starting early in the morning, Bourbon Street on Main put together an entertaining event for the kids with Queen Elsa and friends from the Disney movie, Frozen.  Both parents and kids also got to enjoy a buffet of breakfast items.  The event was incredibly popular, drawing a large crowd.

A little later and up the road to North Main Street, the Christian Academy of Lawrenceburg hosted their third annual holiday craft fair.  There were many handmade items at the fair including a large selection of wood items created by Emily Wiedo and Martie Schittum, who are both first time attendees.  The fair also had a wide variety of items from cds from local musicians, BCB & Company, to really amazing lighting decorations.

Then, after the parade, the Pampered Feet and Downtown Lawrenceburg KY hosted a book signing of eight local authors.  These included books by Bill Bryant, Karen Cox, Ann Gabhart, Don Giles, Don White, Sophia Lynn Rucker, Elizabeth Harley & Linda Robinson, and Lisa Ann Winfrey.  There were also refreshments which were provided by Heavens to Betsy.  Many people stopped by and purchased books from the authors and got to discuss various topics.  The event was a great success.

Also after the parade, Bourbon Barrel Boutique hosted an awesome Santa’s Workshop where kids had fun with crafts, receiving gifts, and taking pictures with Santa which was provided by Downtown Lawrenceburg KY.  There were many kids in attendance and all had a very good time.
