Chamber of Commerce’s Gala was Fun and Successful

After all the celebrations yesterday, the Anderson County Chamber of Commerce hosted their annual Glitter & Glamour Gala.  Held at the Eagle Lake Ballroom, the gala was attended by many of local prominent figures of the community including Mayor Goodlett, Judge Executive Orbrey Gritton, County Clerk Jason Denny, and many more.  The gala had great food provided by Hill of Beans BBQ, music, silent auctions, and even live auctions by E Glenn Birdwhistell.  Awards were also given to a number of people who have either helped the chamber or community, including Beth Kallin, winner of the City Employee Award, Jason Chesser, winner of the County Employee Award, Ira & Cathy Grace, winners of the Roy Robinson Community Service Award, Ryan Wells, winner of the Presidents Award, and many more.  Mayor Goodlett also received the Paul Harris Fellows Award from the Rotary Club for all the work he has done for the town.  Pam Brough, director of the chamber of commerce, said this year’s gala was one of the most successful and much work was put into it to make it enjoyable for everyone.
