New Children’s Clothing Store Opens Downtown

Beverly Curtsinger

Downtown continues to grow as another new business has opened on East Court Street.  Beverly Curtsinger, a pulmonary critical care nurse at UK Hospital, started selling children’s clothing online and found it to be quite successful.  Seeing the revitalization of Main Street, Beverly wanted to join in and so on October 14th, she opened her own children’s clothing store, Max&Layne.

Max&Layne, which is located right next to Cinnamon’s Flowers on East Court Street, focuses on selling new and pre-owned children’s clothing.  Beverly said that she focuses on carrying name brands and items of excellent quality so parents can buy great items for children but at reasonable prices.  Because she sells pre-owned items, she will also buy gently used items from customers.

As we move into the holiday season, Beverly is now offering something new.  She’s acquired an embroidery machine and can now do monogramming on clothing, bags, etc.  She’s also partnered with a company that specializes in children’s hair bows, scarves, and gifts.
