This weekend will mark the opening of something very new and unique here in Lawrenceburg.  The Art Emporium and Frame Clinic on Main Street will host its grand opening on Saturday starting at 11am with live music by Jim Poteet from 12-2pm and Beth Burden from 4-6pm.  The Art Emporium grew out of an idea Shannon and Jennifer Redden had when they moved their equine business, NANRIC, one door over earlier in the year.  Since they owned the building, Shannon thought that an upscale gift store would be a nice addition to Main Street.

Fate would have it to create the perfect partnership to bring about the Art Emporium.  Shannon and Jennifer went one day to Brenda Gardner of the Frame Clinic to have an artwork framed.  Having known Brenda since he was a small child, Shannon decided to ask her if she’d like to join them in creating an upscale gift shop and art gallery in town.  A few hours later, a deal was struck and the Art Emporium and Frame Clinic on Main Street was born.

After renovating the location, Shannon, Jennifer, and Brenda began filling the store with absolutely gorgeous pieces of art, with many of them created right here in Kentucky.  There’s even a number of pieces from local Lawrenceburg artists including pottery from Marianne Brown and Susan Burge, and metalwork from Maynard Studios.  There will even be a section devoted to art from local high school students.  From fine art to even edible items, they have a very wide selection and diversity of art.

After the grand opening Saturday, their normal business hours will be Wednesdays and Thursdays from 11am-6pm, Friday from 11am-7pm, and Saturday from 11am-4pm.  For more information about the Art Emporium, check out their Facebook page.
