General Cable to Expand Operations and Create Over 50 Jobs

generalcableGeneral Cable, located out on US127, is currently in the process of repositioning some of its manufacturing capabilities.  Earlier this year, the company announced they will shut down facilities in other states and the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority gave preliminary approval for a $700,000 tax incentive to encourage General Cable to move those operations here to Lawrenceburg. Governor Steve Beshear announced today that General Cable is moving around half of their original manufacturing capability from their other locations to the Lawrenceburg plant which should create more than 54 new local positions and invest more than $2.5 million on the expansion.  To read more stories about our awesome community, click here.
