Local Business Fixes Your Car and Helps Community

Tim and Michele Lilly

Located towards the north end of the county at Eagle Lake right off the intersection of US127 and route 151, Hadawreck Body Shop has been helping the community for many years.  Michele and Tim Lilly, owners of Hadawreck, started their body shop originally as just a dream of Tim’s.  Michelle worked for the state government for 15 years while Tim worked for Terhune’s Body Shop in Shelbyville.  Tim always wanted to open his own shop and Michele decided to help him with his dream and quit her job to open Hadawreck.

They’re now a well known body shop in the area, being the only one around that can pick you up, tow your wrecked car, put you in a rental, and repair your car, all in a quick turnaround time.  They also offer PPG certified paint, 24 hour towing, lifetime guarantee on all repairs, and are approved as a preferred body shop for all insurance companies.

But, besides auto body repair, they also give back to the community.  They donate to various school activities and even have painted one of the Anderson County Marching Band’s trailers and the quilt design on the side of the cooperative extension office’s barn for free.  In addition to participating in the Burgoo Festival most of the time, they also host a very large free Halloween Trunk or Treat with many other businesses to give away candy, sponsor a costume contest, and provide great entertainment for the whole family.  Check out our event calendar for more about their Truck or Treat.
