County Storage Building Being Torn Down

Right next to the Anderson County Court House once stood an old building that the county used for storage.  Over the years, the building fell into disrepair and despite efforts from county maintenance crews to try to fix the building to stop constant water leaking from the roof, the county decided it wasn’t worth trying to fix it anymore.  So they decided to tear the building down over this weekend so as to limit disruption to the Main Street merchants and restaurants.  We’ve heard they may use the space that the building occupied for more parking around the court house but have yet to confirm this with county officials.
