Pirate Entertains Kids while Teaching Importance of Books

Last night was an awesome event for everyone who attended the free performance at the Anderson Public Library. Paul Odenwelder, from Familytime Entertainment, stepped into his humorous character known as Squiffy Paul O the Pirate. With his authentically fun costume and wonderful stage set with a mast, a Jolly Roger flag, a sail, ropes and tackle, water barrel, treasure chest and even the ship’s wheel, the performance was truly something to see. Squiffy Paul O told jokes, played music, did some magic, and even had the audience participate with questions.  He also ended the performance with a wonderful skit showing knowledge and books are a better treasure than any other material item. Kids of all ages, including us, had a great time.
