Local Veterinarian Wins Award

This weekend the KVMA, Kentucky Veterinary Medical Association, had their annual veterinary conference in Louisville. Each year this association gives out two awards to their members, one for distinguished service and one for veterinarian of the year.

This year’s winner of the Veterinarian of the Year 2015 was awarded to Lawrenceburg’s very own Dr. Aaron Goodpaster from the Animal Clinic. This award was given to Dr. Goodpaster for the work he has done within the community along with behind the scenes work he did for the KVMA.

Dr. Goodpaster is a native of Anderson County and graduated of Auburn University in 1992. He began his practice in West Liberty, KY for 4 years before coming back to Lawrenceburg to practice at the Animal Clinic. Dr. Goodpaster is also the president of the local chapter of the KVMA.

Other veterinarians at the Animal Clinic have also won awards from the KVMA. Dr. Pike won the Distinguished Service Award in 1993 and Dr. Jacoby won the Kentucky Veterinarian Award in 2003.

Congratulations to Dr. Goodpaster and to all the past winners at the Animal Clinic.
