Students Enjoying Preview of Reenactment

As the Burgoo Festival goes into full swing today, students from the Anderson County Middle School got to enjoy history coming alive as they visited the camps of what will become the Civil War reenactments of the Battles of Lawrenceburg and Dog Walk in the county park.  There were a number historical figure lookalikes present including Abraham Lincoln and Jefferson Davis.  The students also got to enjoy explanations of the time era’s ladies clothing from NavaJo Austin and a variety of different horns and bugle calls from Bruce Austin.  They even got to see a civil war era canon and rifle being fired.
