Big Changes at Burgoo Festival

As the 2015 Burgoo Festival sets up this morning around the downtown area, there’s been a few major changes to this year’s event.  With great dedication from the City of Lawrenceburg and BJ’s Paving, the new parking lot on Main Street was finished late last night and visitors can now park in the lot.  The entrance off of College Street allows access to almost all the available parking spots.

The Festival itself, however, is also seeing a big change.  Instead of having all the tents on Main Street in front of the stores, the festival organizers have gotten permission to line the tents down the center of the street.  This will allow better access to all the stores and restaurants on Main Street during the festival.  The other areas of the festival will remain in the usual layout.

Also, some of the residents at Heritage Hall would love to go to the Burgoo Festival, but are physically unable to. The Activities Director, Misty Montgomery, is looking for some golf carts to borrow, so the residents can enjoy the festival. If you have a golf cart or know someone who has one that would like to lend it to the Heritage Hall, please call Misty 502-680-1344.
