Today is National Physical Therapy Day and we decided to check out the new physical therapy clinic in Lawrenceburg.  Located next to Kroger in what was the Anderson Primary Care location, KORT has just recently opened their doors.  KORT, which originally started in 1987 in Elizabethtown, has been steadily opening new clinics throughout the region to make it easier for patients to seek the therapy they need without having to travel long distances.  They decided to open a clinic here in Lawrenceburg when they realized a number of their patients were from our town.

Matthew Berry, Clinical Director and Physical Therapist at this location, has extensive knowledge in many different therapy systems including specialties in orthorpedics, sports medicine, and geriatrics.  He also has broad knowledge in treating patients with complicating neurological disorders and gait training for patients with lower extremity prosthetics.  He’s also been trained in the McKenzie method which is used to help treat back, neck, and peripheral joint problems.

The clinic is now open to the public and, thanks to Kentucky law, no referral from a doctor is needed to see a physical therapist.  We wish them much luck with their new clinic.

For more information, check them out on their Facebook page.
