National Thrift Store Day

imageDo you love to shop for bargains? Then today is maybe your favorite day. Each year on August 17th, National Thrift Shop Day is celebrated across America. Thrift store shopping has become very popular over the years as more people look for big bargains and hidden treasures that thrift stores are known to have. Along with great prices, the thrift store has become one of the ways of being Green, giving people a place to reuse clothes and other merchandise that would have ended up in a landfill.

Here in Lawrenceburg, the 2nd Chance Upscale Consignment Boutique has become a favorite place to shop. Much like a thrift store, 2nd Chance has the great prices along with all the hidden treasures. Started back four years, Lana Peach saw the need for a consignment store in the community and decided to purchase the old Shryock’s Liquor Store to set up her store. Together with her manager, and other employees including Kim Laswell (photo), Lana has created a great place to shop. Stop by today for their store wide sale. Everything in the store is 25% off.

2nd Chance Upscale Consignment Boutique is located at 101 West Court Street. Here is a link to their Facebook page.
