Great Start at YKK Food & Supply Drive

IMG_0082YKK is sponsoring a food and supply drive today from 8am to 8pm at the Walmart for the victims of the Johnson County flooding, and already there has been a phenomenal community turnout.  The extremely heavy rains this past week caused very destructive flooding in Johnson County, and an employee at YKK wanted to help.  The drive started as an idea by Danny Richardson, who brought it up to YKK management.  They supported it and worked with Walmart to let them to run the drive in front of the store.  According to Tim Baker and Joshua Riggins who are helping loading the truck, numerous shoppers have donated entire shopping carts full of supplies.  Support from our community has been incredibly strong, but more supplies are needed.  They include all baby supplies, water, non-perishable food, hygiene items, toiletries, first aid items, all kinds of cleaning supplies, pet food, blankets/pillows, rubber boots, flashlights/batteries, can openers, jackets, and aspirin/tylenol.  All donations will be taken to the Johnson County High School on Monday, July 20th.  A full list of the needed supplies is below:
