Past ACHS Basketball player inducted into Hall of Fame

A big congratulations goes to Lawrenceburg native, Jimmy Dan Conner, who will be inducted into the Kentucky High School Basketball Hall of Fame this Saturday.  Jimmy Dan played with the Anderson County High School Bearcats team as a shooting guard during the early 1970’s.  In his senior year, he was named Mr Kentucky Basketball and help lead the Bearcats to a runner-up finish during the Sweet 16 tournament.  He later received an University of Kentucky basketball scholarship and was even drafted by the NBA, although didn’t sign.

The Kentucky High School Basketball Hall of Fame is an organization founded by the Kentucky Association of Basketball Coaches as a way to honor coaches and former players around the state.   Now in it’s third year, the Hall of Fame has honored a number of well known players and coaches.  Jimmy Dan’s induction ceremony will be held at the Historic State Theatre in Elizabethtown at 7:30pm.  For more information, please visit khsbhf.com.
